We are just four miles South of the Buffalo River on US Highway 65, near Grinder's Ferry canoe launch and the Tyler Bend Visitors Center.

Famous GENEALOGY CENTER at Searcy County Library -- Research your family tree and find your roots when you search through one of the finest genealogical collections in the whole USA. Professional and amateur genealogists travel here from all over the country to use this amazing facility.

Mountain Springs Creamery -- An independent dairy, offering carry-out milk, cream, cheese and ice cream. Or you can enjoy ice cream sundays and deli sandwiches in their restaurant.

DaiSy Queen -- A hometown fast food restaurant which offers a wide variety of local favorites on it's menu. Located on Highway 65. Their motto is "Burgers and Shakes and Whatever It Takes" to make you happy.

Sonic Drive In -- A part of the national chain of fast food restaurants. The menu is similar to others across the country. Located on Highway 65.

Pizza Hut -- A franchise of the nation chain that offers american-italian food along with a lunch buffet during the week. Located on Highway 65.

Sunset Resturant -- Located on the south side of Marshall below South Mountain.

Kelly's Restaurant -- Located at the intersection of Highway 65 and Highway 27 East.

Baker Pharmacy -- A local drug store with an old-fashioned Soda Fountain. Carries over-the-counter medications and can fill prescriptions. Located on the historic Town Square, just off Highway 65.

Marshall Medicare Pharmacy -- Another local full-service drug store. Located right on Highway 65.

Fred's -- A regional chain of discount stores that offer clothes, health and beauty products, and other products. Located on Highway 65.

Harps -- A local grocery store that offers a large variety of products including a Deli and Bakery. Located on Highway 65.

Ferguson's Restaurant and Country Store -- Located north of Bear Creek Log Cabins, this restaurant serves home cooked food and famous cinnamon rolls. The restaurant also offers a small store for visitors with many Ozarks momentos. Located north of the Buffalo National River at the intersection of Highways 65 and 333.

Coursey Smokehouse -- Located near Ferguson's Restaurant, this small store sells take-out smoked meats and jerkey. Located on Highway 65.

Riverside Kitchen -- On the banks of the the Buffalo National River in the sleepy town of Gilbert. It's a perfect place for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner after a long day on the Buffalo.

(No Area Restaurants offer Delivery to Bear Creek Log Cabins, but our kitchens are fully equipped for your Arkansas family getaway enjoyment.)

We're right in the middle of the Middle River area. Many local canoe rentals are less than 10 minutes away along with Tyler Bend Recreation Area which houses the National Park Service Visitor Center and lots of public hiking trails.

Other Arkansas family getaway destinations along the Upper, Middle, and Lower parts of America's first national river are just a short drive from your cabin. Nearby places to visit include the abandoned mines and ghost-town of Rush, Buffalo Point canoe launch and picnic area, and elk-watching along the Buffalo River corridor. Blanchard Springs Caverns -- A set of three caves operated by the National Forest Service. The Dripstone Trail Tour is open year round and allows wheelchairs and strollers on it's path. The Discovery Trail is open only in the summer and has over 700 steps. Mountain View also includes The Jimmy Driftwood Folk Music Hall of Fame. Driftwood is famous for writing The Battle of New Orleans to help his students learn about the War of 1812 in Snowball, Ark; located just minutes from Bear Creek Log Cabins.

The White River --Below the Bull Shoals Dam, the famous White River has great trout fishing and white water canoeing. The Rainbow, German brown, cutthroat and brook trout species are found in the cold water of the White River below the Dam. Many guides are available to take you down the river.

Greers Ferry Lake -- A 40,000 acre lake located southeast of Bear Creek Log Cabins offers more great lake fishing.

Fairfield Bay -- A planned Arkansas family getaway Resort Community with two golf courses along with miniature golf AND marina facilities.

Check out the tennis courts and 72 par golf course at Fairfield Bay. The Mountain Ranch Golf Course clubhouse and fully stocked golf shop meet every golfing need. They offer an expansive practice range and Golf Clinics by our PGA Professionals.

Eureka Springs, -- Located near the start of the White River, Eureka Springs, AR is a great place to enjoy an historic small town in the Ozarks. You'll want to walk the nostalgic streets with shops galore, explore nearby caverns. Eureka Springs has been an Arkansas family getaway destination for over 100 years!

The Great Passion Play, -- Famous worldwide and performed in an outdoor amphitheatre every night around dusk. Also see the Christ of the Ozarks statue. Both these Arkansas family getaway spots are on the way to Eureka Springs.

Branson, MO -- The Midwest's Biggest little city, Branson has shopping at outlet malls, two theme parks, and countless other attractions, but what makes Branson MO are the SHOWS. From locals like the Presleys who have been in the area for years, to popular performers like Andy Williams, Glen Campbell, and Bobby Vinton. Branson's popularity started from The Beverly Hillbillies TV show.
